Essex.club
Community guidelines
Last updated: 5 November 2026
Essex.club exists to make local connection feel welcoming. These expectations apply online and at Essex.club gatherings.
Be kind and respectful
Treat people with dignity. Harassment, bullying, threats, discrimination, humiliation and unwanted sexual attention are not accepted.
Respect boundaries
Do not pressure anyone to share contact details, photographs, personal information, money, transport or further meetings. A refusal or lack of interest must be respected immediately.
Keep it genuine
Use accurate information. Do not impersonate others, create fake registrations, misrepresent a business or promote scams and misleading opportunities.
No aggressive promotion
Gatherings are for connection, not unsolicited sales pitches, recruitment schemes, political campaigning or repeated self-promotion unless the event explicitly permits it.
Photography
Hosts will explain photography arrangements. Do not photograph or publish identifiable images of another attendee without appropriate permission.
Safety
Follow venue rules and host safety instructions. Report hazards, harassment or concerning behaviour promptly. In an emergency, contact the appropriate emergency service.
Reporting
Email concerns to hello@essex.club. Reports will be considered proportionately and information shared only where needed to manage safety, legal or operational responsibilities.
